  Submerged arc furnace construction

  Electric arc furnace used for steelmaking consist of a refractory lined vessel, usually water cooled

 in large size , covered with a retractable roof, and through which one or more graphite electrode enter t

 the furnace. The furnace is primarily split into 3 sections :

  The shell , which consists of the sidewall and lower steel bowl.

single electroslag furnace is for smelting of good quality special alloy steels. With capacities ranging 

from 0.5-15 tons.  It adopts fixed crystallizer and two - column rotating conversion electrode tube type 

for a reasonable design which should give reliable superior operation. According to power matching conditions.
